Below is a list of the parkruns that I have taken part in and a brief description of them.
Kingsbury Water – This is my home parkrun and where I started my running journey. It is a lovely single lap course around a couple of lakes on different surfaces. (49 runs – PB 19:03)
Conkers – Out and back course with a loop in the middle. A mixture of surfaces and can get muddy in places when it’s been wet. (5 runs – PB 18:54)
Rosliston – Lots of twists and turns on a single lap course, not known for quick times. (1 run – PB 20:18)
Torbay Velopark – 2 laps of a cycle track and then a lap around the edge of a field, is good for times if the field is dry. (1 run – PB 19:47)
Cirencester – A tough 3 lap course all on either grass or a farmers field. Ran whilst quite dry and was difficult would be worse when wet. (1 run – PB 20:08)
Babbs Mill – A short run out followed by two laps of a lake and then a short run back, mainly on hard surfaces. (2 runs – PB 19:29)
Long Eaton – Known to be one of the fastest courses in the area, 2 laps all on tarmac, paths are wide to allow easy overtaking on the 2nd lap. (2 runs – PB 18:38)
Walsall Arboretum – A fast 3 lap course all on tarmac, a couple of sharp turns but is good for a fast time. (1 run – PB 18:35)
Chasewater – A very beautiful parkrun, a single lap in a nature reserve where you will sometimes see deer whilst you run. (1 run – PB 19:39)
Oaklands – 3 laps all on tarmac, has the potential for quick times (1 run – PB 19:00)
Beacon – 2 laps on mixed surfaces, was very muddy in places when I ran it and icy on the paths. (1 run – PB 19:39)
